SkYE’s Safeguarding Policy

Introduction

The Skills for Youth Employment (SkYE) Programme is a 4-year, UKAid-funded programme to improve certified skills training for the youth of four Eastern Caribbean countries: Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia and St Vincent & the Grenadines.

SkYE  is committed to ensuring trainees are protected and therefore utilizes Mott MacDonald’s Safeguarding Policy – The Mott MacDonald Group has zero tolerance against all forms of abuse and exploitation and has measures and controls that demonstrates their commitment to make certain that mistreatment does not occur in any of their projects.

SkYE Training Provider Safeguarding System

SkYE’s Safeguarding System is aimed at defining safeguarding and outlining the Programme’s expectations and protocols as it relates to reporting, monitoring, and resolving safeguarding needs of SkYE trainees.

The SKYE programme believes that all stakeholders and beneficiaries have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe and promote practices that protect them.

SkYE is committed to ensuring that all Training Providers (TPs) and key partners will guarantee the safeguarding of all young people and vulnerable adults from harm, whatever their age, gender, race, disability, language, religion/belief and/or sexual orientation.
