Focused support and training for disadvantaged young people
SkYE will provide basic technical and life skills training, addressing literacy and numeracy gaps, for disadvantaged young men and women, including those with disabilities. Internships or placements will also be included and some provision may be made to support reasonable adjustments for trainers and employers to facilitate people with disabilities. The training should allow young people to gain employment or continue training, including potentially accessing opportunities under component 1 of the programme.
